Original Palco two quart aluminum canteen in original box with original cloth cover. This canteen is in very good condition, actually like new but with a name written on the sling; I rate it a 4 out of 5. Were it not for the writing on the sling, I would rate this as a 5 out of 5 and would have thought it was NOS New Old Stock. The brass snaps are shiny and the cloth cover is beautiful
 
This particular unit is one of the newer production models with the plastic cap instead of the aluminum cap. I estimate this unit to have been produced from about 1965 to 1975 more or less. The cloth cover is in good original condition with no rips, tears or unravelling. The canteen body has no corrosion dents, dings, scrapes or any other damage which is visible with the cover on (I did not remove the cover).
 
The carrying strap has a name written on it in ink. All in all, this is an excellent canteen with no cosmetic flaws other than the writing, and is ready to join you in your next classic camping adventure.
