.310 Caliber Cast Round Ball – 30 Pack
.310 Caliber Cast Round Ball
These .310 diameter round balls are for use in .32 caliber muzzleloading rifles using patches. The .310 size is intentionally undersized for use in a .32 caliber bore, allowing room for a cloth patch between the ball and the barrel. This diameter is appropriate for standard patched round-ball loading methods in traditional muzzleloading firearms.
Each ball is cast from 99.9% pure, new soft lead. They are cast projectiles, not swaged; just like back in the good old days.
Applications
Patched round-ball loads in .32 caliber muzzleloading rifles
Small-game and target shooting with traditional long rifles
The “buck” component in .69 caliber buck-and-ball cartridges
Falls right between #1 Buck (.30) and 0 Buck-shot (.32) for shotgun loads.
Compatibility
The .310 diameter is appropriate for most common .32 caliber muzzleloading rifles, including:
Pedersoli Pennsylvania Long Rifle – .32 caliber
Pedersoli Scout Carbine – .32 caliber
Pedersoli Kentucky Rifle – .32 caliber
Pedersoli Blue Ridge Rifle – .32 caliber
Other standard .32 caliber percussion or flintlock rifles
Pretty much all of your .32 flint and percussion "squirrel guns"
About 44 grains in weight
This ball size provides clearance for thin patch material in typical .32 caliber bores.
Important Use Limitation
Not for use in .32 caliber revolvers.
This ball is intended only for patched round-ball use in muzzleloading rifles; it is too small for .32 revolver use.
